It is located at Kettering Health Dayton, formerly known as Grandview Medical Center, one of the oldest osteopathic teaching hospitals in the country, with a total of 130 residents in various specialties training on its campus. The medical center itself is a 317 bed level III trauma center with the residents also rotating through Grant Medical Center in Columbus, OH for additional trauma experience as well as Dayton Children's Hospital (Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center) for their pediatric ED exposure. Dayton Children's Hospital has also become the home of Shriner's hospital from Cincinnati, offering increase opportunity for pediatric burn exposure. Initially an osteopathic residency accredited through the American Osteopathic Association, it is now accepting MD applicants and is accredited through the ACGME.
