Background
- Most often due to blunt trauma
- Can cause loss of vision due to abrupt increase in intraocular pressure
Clinical Features
- Pain
- Proptosis
- Decreasing vision
Diagnosis
- Tonometry
- Only measure once globe rupture has been ruled-out
- CT Orbit
Treatment
- Emergent ophto consultation
- Consider lateral Canthotomy if IOP >40
