Right Axis Deviation

Causes
  1. Right ventricular hypertrophy
  2. Pulmonary HTN - Acute (PE) & chronic lung disease (COPD)
  3. Left posterior fascicular block
  4. Lateral MI (from Q-waves in lead I)
  5. Ventricular ectopy (VT)
  6. Hyperkalemia
  7. Lead misplacement
  8. Dextrocardia
  9. Normal thin adults with horizontally positioned hearts​

Left Axis Deviation

Causes
  1. Left anterior fascicular block
  2. Left Bundle Branch Block
  3. Inferior MI
  4. Left Ventricular Hypertrophy
