Dr. O'Brien completed his medical training at the University of Illinois Chicago College of Medicine.  He is Chief Resident and Clinical Assistant Instructor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at the State University of New York at Buffalo.  His special interests include EMS, critical care, resuscitation, and emergency ultrasound.  Prior to medical school, he was a critical care paramedic and EMS Instructor in Chicago, IL.
