Background
- Limited to forearm and lower leg long bones
- The diaphysis of the long bone is deformed but the periosteum is preserved

Diagnosis
- X-ray findings are subtle (no fx line)
- Will show abnormal curvature
- Bowing or bending
- Helpful to compare to uninvolved extremity
Treatment
- Ortho consult
- Difficult to reduce (usually requires completion of the fx)
- Proper reduction and realignment is essential
