Background
- Multiple types of finger splint exists

Indications
- Phalangeal fracture
- Gutter splints probably better for proximal fractures

Procedure
- Assess pre-procedure neurovascular status (i.e., distal pulse, motor, and sensation
- Apply splint and secure to finger at multiple points (e.g. with tape)
- Avoid placing securing straps over joints
- Re-check and document repeat neurovascular status
