Background
Chemical burn to eye
Treatment
- Topical anesthesia (e.g. tetracaine)
- Irrigate!!!
- until pH 7.0 (check with pH strip)
- alkaline exposure requires minimum of 4L over 40min
- Check IOP
- Consider cycloplegic (e.g. atropine)
