Background
- Infection of the bone by bacteria or fungus
- Etiology
- Contiguous spread (80%)

Risk Factors
- Diabetic pts with one or more of the following:
- Skin ulceration >2cm
- Positive probe-to-bone test

Diagnosis
- Pain at the site
