Sulfonylurea toxicity

Treatment

  1. Glucose
    1. Adult: 50mL D50W bolus
    2. Peds: 1g/kg
      1. Child: 2-4 mL/kg D25W OR 5-10mL/kg D10W
      2. Neonate: 5-10 mL/kg D10W
  2. Glucagon
    1. 0.03 mg/kg subq/IV
  3. Octreotide
    1. Adult: 50-150mcg IM or subQ q6hr
    2. Children: 1-1.5mcg/kg (max 150mcg) q6hr
