Axillary neuropathy

Background

The axillary nerve supplies innervation to:

  • Deltoid
  • Teres minor
  • Long head of triceps
  • Skin over lateral shoulder

Injury associated with anterior shoulder dislocation

Clinical Features

  • Inability to abduct arm
  • Decreased sensation to skin over deltoid
