Welcome to the WikEM Journal Club! In the spirit of FOAMed, anyone worldwide can contribute. Our goal is to build a repository of must-read EM-related articles for residents and practicing physicians. All Journal Club Reviews will also be available offline on the WikEM Mobile App.

Article Types

• The WikEM Evidence Based Question (EBQ) Section has two distinct types of article templates:
  • One for summary of an important study (e.g. EBQ:TTM Trial)
  • One for a summary of the literature (i.e multiple studies) relating to an important clinical topic (e.g. EBQ:Use of Sodium Polystyrene Sulfonate (Kayexylate) in Hyperkalemia)

General Directions

Once you have created an account, click on an article title to begin editing (see Updating and Creating Notes on WikEM for more information about using the wiki software). On each article page you can use the discussion tab for debate. Feel free to modify the standard review template on each page if the format does not fit the article type or sections are not applicable to the review.
