Background

  • Idiopathic form accounts for 25% of CHF

Diagnosis

  • CHF symptoms
  • CXR
    • Cardiomegaly, pulm venous htn
  • ECG
    • LV hypertrophy, poor R wave progression

Treatment

  • Similar to CHF exacerbation
  • Ensure exacerbation not due to ischemia
