Memorial Healthcare System
History
Memorial Healthcare System is one of the largest public healthcare systems in the U.S., with combined Emergency Department Volumes of ~500,000 patient visits. Memorial's 3-year EM residency program offers learners exposure to a diverse patient population. From the underserved urban environment of Memorial Regional Hospital to the suburban community of Memorial Hospital West and the highly specialized pediatric care at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, residents encounter a wide range of pathologies. High patient volume and acuity ensure comprehensive training, equipping residents to handle complex medical conditions and become well-rounded physicians capable of treating diverse populations.
