Background

  • AKA oriental liver fluke, found in Asia
  • Transmitted by ingestion of infected, undercooked fish, crabs, or crayfish
  • Infect liver, gallbladder, bile ducts
  • Fluke can live in a person for 25-30 years if left untreated
