- Acute myeloid leukemia

Differential Diagnosis
Leukocytosis
- Normally responding bone marrow
- Infection
- Inflammation: tissue necrosis, infarction, burns, arthritis
- Stress: overexertion, seizures, anxiety, anesthesia
- Drugs: corticosteroids, lithium, beta agonists
- Trauma: splenectomy
- Hemolytic anemia
- Leukemoid malignancy
- Abnormal bone marrow
