Administration

  • Allergy to class/drug

Adverse Reactions

  • DVT (<1%)
  • Increased risk of seizures

Mechanism of Action

  • Meropenem inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis
  • Vaborbactam is a beta-lactamase inhibitor that protects meropenem from degradation by KPC
