Adult Dosing

Bowel Prep

  • 1000mg PO at 1 pm, 2 pm and 11 pm the day before 8 am surgery. Alternative: 1000mg po q1h x 4, then 1000mg po q4h x 4

Hepatic Encephalopathy

  • 1000-3000mg po q6h x 5-6 days

Pediatric Dosing

Bowel prep for 2-12 y/o

  • 25mg/kg PO at 1 pm, 2 pm and 11 pm the day before 8 am surgery. Alternative: 90mg/kg/day PO divided q4h x 2-3 days
