History

This program was started in 2013 and recruited its first class of residents in July 2014. The program recently changed from AOA to ACGME, and has gone from a 4 year program to a 3 year program in 2019. This program recruits eight residents per year and is a three year program.

ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital

  • Community hospital with annual ED volume of 49,000
  • Adult Level 3 Trauma Center

Secondary Hospitals

  • ProMedica Toledo Hospital: Annual ED volume of 100,000. Adult Level 1 Trauma Center
  • ProMedica Toledo Children's Hospital: Pediatric Level II Trauma Center. Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellowship trained Attending Physicians
  • Children's Hospital of Michigan/ Detroit Medical Center
  • Shock Trauma- University of Maryland

  • Emergency Medicine (ProMedica Monroe)- 6 months

  • OB/GYN- 1 month
  • Radiology/Ultrasound- 1 month
  • EMS/Research- 1 month
  • Anesthesiology- 1 month
  • Elective- 1 month

PGY2

  • Emergency Medicine (ProMedica Monroe)- 5 months
  • Emergency Medicine (ProMedica Toledo)- 2 months
  • Pediatric Emergency Medicine (ProMedica Monroe)- 1 month
  • Pediatric Emergency Medicine (ProMedica Toledo Children's Hospital)- 1 month
  • Trauma Rotation (ProMedica Toledo)- 1 month
  • ICU (Surgical ICU ProMedica Toledo)- 1 month
