History

Mount Sinai St. Luke's and Mount Sinai West (formerly Roosevelt) Hospitals have historic connections to the New York City as well as medical science. They have been caring for patients, serving the community, fostering medical research and innovation, and training new doctors in nearly every specialty since they first opened their doors in the 1800s. Excellent, patient-centered medical care provided with compassion and respect, regardless of ability to pay, have always been central to the mission and remain so today.
