• Toe fracture

Clinical Features

Workup

• XR foot and/or toe x 2 view
• Consider need for more proximal or distal plain films

Management

General Fracture Management

• Acute pain management
• Open fractures require immediate IV antibiotics and urgent surgical washout
• Neurovascular compromise from fracture requires emergent reduction and/or orthopedic intervention
• Consider risk for compartment syndrome

Immobilization

• Buddy-taping
• Hard-sole shoe

Disposition

• Outpatient management
