Daniel Martin obtained EMT-Basic certification while leaving active duty military service with the United States Marine Corps in 2017. He held other allied health positions until moving to College Station, TX to begin his BS in Nutrition at Texas A&M University. He joined the Texas A&M University EMS service as a EMT basic attendant in January 2019; subsequently up-certified as a paramedic in 2021.  After completing his baccalaureate studies Cum Laude in May 2021, he immediately matriculated to the UT Health Science Center at San Antonio physician assistant school. Daniel completed his Master's of Physician Assistant Studies in December 2023 and transitioned to the UT Southwestern Medical Center Emergency Medicine APP fellowship program. He spent June 2024-June 2025 training in emergency medicine at Clements University Hospital, Children's Hospital, and the renowned Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas alongside his co-fellow and the emergency medicine physician residents. He is now a full-time staff Emergency Medicine PA with Greater San Antonio Emergency Physicians, practicing across four group sites.

He holds, or has held, instructor certifications/authorizations for several different disciplines including for courses from the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, National Association of EMT's, and the Stop The Bleed campaign.
