After completing his baccalaureate studies at Texas A&M University, Cum Laude, in May 2021, he immediately matriculated to the UT Health Science Center at San Antonio physician assistant school. Daniel completed his Master's of Physician Assistant Studies in December 2023 and transitioned to the UT Southwestern Medical Center Emergency Medicine APP fellowship program. He spent June 2024-June 2025 training in emergency medicine at Clements University Hospital, Children's Hospital, and the renowned Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas alongside his co-fellow and the emergency medicine physician residents. He is now a full-time staff Emergency Medicine PA with Greater San Antonio Emergency Physicians, practicing across four group sites. Daniel maintains his paramedic certification and licensure, and he periodically returns to College Station to work event medicine requirements of the Texas A&M Aggie Football home games in Kyle Field with the Texas A&M University EMS service. He has published several pieces across multiple trade journals in EMS including JEMS and EMS1, as well as a piece in Police1. He holds, or has held, instructor certifications/authorizations for several different disciplines including for courses from the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, National Association of EMT's, and the Stop The Bleed campaign. He completed a term of active duty military service with the United States Marine Corps prior to his entry into medicine, and Daniel serves currently as a First Lieutenant, Texas State Guard, billeted as the Dive Medical Officer for the waterborne search and recovery unit of 6th Brigade. He holds NAUI Open Water and NITROX certifications as a diver and is actively seeking further training and experience.
