Proof of Concept: MedicationDose on RSI
This is a demonstration of how {{MedicationDose}} would look on the RSI page.
Premedication
- Lidocaine 1.5 mg/kg IV — May lower ICP; give 5-10 min prior
- Fentanyl 3 mcg/kg IV — Blunts sympathetic response; give last
Induction
- Etomidate 0.2-0.4 mg/kg IV (onset 1 min, duration 3-8 min) — Hemodynamically neutral
- Ketamine 1-2 mg/kg IV (onset 1 min, duration 10-20 min) — Agent of choice for asthmatics and hypotension
- Ketamine 3-4 mg/kg IM (onset 3-4 min, duration 10-20 min)
- Versed 0.2-0.3 mg/kg IV (onset 1-2 min, duration 30-60 min)
- Propofol 1-3 mg/kg IV (onset <1 min, duration 10-15 min)
Paralytics
- Succinylcholine 1.5 mg/kg IV (onset 45 sec, duration 4-6 min)
- Succinylcholine 2.0 mg/kg IV (onset 45 sec, duration 4-6 min) — Age < 10 years
- Succinylcholine 4 mg/kg IM (onset 2-3 min, duration 10-30 min)
- Rocuronium 1.2 mg/kg IV (onset 60 sec, duration 25-60 min)
- Vecuronium 0.1 mg/kg IV (onset 60-90 sec, duration 65 min) — Agent of choice for prolonged paralysis
Post-intubation Sedation
- Propofol 5-80 mcg/kg/min IV drip — Titrate q10min
- Fentanyl 25-250 mcg/hr IV drip — Titrate q20min
- Versed 0.04-0.2 mg/kg/hr IV drip — Titrate q1hr
